Located just outside Paris, Château de Champlâtreux stands as a jewel of French heritage. Its façade catches the light beautifully. The symmetry of its architecture offers a perfect backdrop for both ceremonies and receptions. The surrounding nature expands into vast lawns and old trees, creating a space that feels private and serene.
For couples who want a destination wedding in France, the venue offers the ideal combination of accessibility and exclusivity. Many of our clients choose Champlâtreux because it allows them to host an outdoor celebration that feels “straight out of a dream” without compromising on comfort or aesthetics.

One key strength of Château de Champlâtreux is its outdoor potential. Many couples hesitate to plan a fully open-air wedding in France. Yet, when the weather gifts us a warm and sunny day, the estate becomes magical. Light reflects on the stone. Guests wander across the gardens. The entire event breathes.
Sofia and Alexander’s wedding was one of those luminous days. The sky was clear from morning until night. The air was warm, almost summery. Because of this, the couple chose to host the entire celebration outdoors, from the ceremony to the dinner and the dancing.
Designing outdoor weddings requires precision. Flowers must hold beautifully in the heat. Structures must blend into the scenery while staying solid. And above all, the décor must feel intentional, even without the natural framing of walls or ceilings. This challenge is one we love. It pushes creativity further.

From the very beginning, Sofia expressed her love for elegance. She gravitates toward classic beauty, soft textures, and harmonious palettes. However, she also wanted a modern twist. She didn’t want the floral design to feel predictable. She wanted the décor to surprise guests.
Alexander, on his side, values experiences. For him, the wedding had to feel festive. He wanted guests to feel immersed—surrounded by beauty, yes, but also by energy.
This blend of elegance, modernity, and celebration guided every creative decision. It inspired us to work with scale, with perspective, and with unexpected floral elements that would surprise without overwhelming.

Because the wedding took place under high temperatures, the floral design had to be technically flawless. We selected flowers that thrive in warm weather and worked with hydration techniques that ensured freshness all day long.
Outdoor weddings at Château de Champlâtreux always require thoughtful planning. The sun moves across the gardens in a way that affects both the ceremony orientation and the placement of the dinner tables. We studied the trajectory of the light to ensure that the flowers would look their best at every moment. This careful preparation allowed us to create a design that felt effortless.

The ceremony took place on one of the vast lawns overlooking the château. The couple wanted an arch that felt majestic—almost like a natural extension of the garden. They wanted height, volume, and movement.
We created a lush, sculptural arch that combined romantic shapes with modern lines. Its wide base anchored it into the landscape. Its height framed the couple beautifully. The flowers spilled in soft waves, giving the structure an organic feel. It felt like a piece of nature, elevated into something ceremonial.
The palette reflected summer tones: creamy whites, touches of blush, subtle peaches, and fresh greens. These colors complemented the stone of Château de Champlâtreux and reinforced the softness of the atmosphere.

As guests arrived, they naturally gravitated toward the arch. It became the focal point of the entire ceremony. It also became one of the most photographed elements of the day, because it embodied exactly what the couple wanted: grandeur without excess, and elegance with personality.
When Sofia walked down the aisle, framed by this floral scene, everything aligned. The beauty of the venue, the emotion in the air, and the gentle movement of the flowers created a moment that felt almost suspended.
For the reception, the couple wanted a completely different experience. They imagined an atmosphere that felt festive and surprising. Rather than focusing solely on table flowers, they wanted aerial floral pieces that would transform the entire space.
This led us to design three-meter-high floral chandeliers, fully covered in flowers. These hanging pieces became the heart of the décor. They brought volume and verticality. They also created a sense of intimacy: even in an open field, guests felt surrounded by beauty.
The chandeliers served multiple purposes. They enhanced the dinner experience, created depth in photographs and also echoed the couple’s desire to make their wedding unforgettable.

On the tables, we embraced a more modern approach. Clean lines. Elegant compositions. Refined textures. The flowers were placed with intention, allowing space for conversation and movement.
Because the chandeliers carried much of the visual impact, the table arrangements stayed harmonious and understated, which created balance. The overall look was elegant, fresh, and contemporary.
As the sun set, the floral chandeliers began catching the warm light of the evening. Later, when the dance floor opened, they took on a festive glow thanks to the lighting design. They transformed again, becoming part of the party atmosphere—exactly what Sofia and Alexander wanted.
Every wedding at Château de Champlâtreux is unique. The venue offers a classical frame, but each couple brings their own story and energy. For Sofia and Alexander, the floral design needed to capture their joy, their generosity, and their desire to celebrate life.
At Atelier Mimoza, we believe floral design can shape a guest’s experience. Flowers do more than decorate. They set the tone, guide movement, connect people to the emotion of the moment.
For this wedding, we focused on two elements:
The result was a celebration where guests felt embraced by beauty, without ever feeling overwhelmed.
Working with Sofia and Alexander was pure joy. They trusted the creative process, communicated clearly, cared about every guest, and they wanted every detail to feel meaningful.
This connection made the design flow naturally. It also reflects something essential at Atelier Mimoza: our work is deeply human. We don’t simply place flowers. We listen, translate emotions into atmospheres. Atelier Mimoza designs with empathy, not ego.
This wedding is a beautiful example of what happens when trust, artistry, and a shared vision come together.

From a floral designer’s perspective, Château de Champlâtreux offers incredible creative freedom. Its large outdoor spaces can host ambitious structures. The façade anchors visual compositions. Its symmetry enhances floral photography. And its gardens provide a backdrop that feels both majestic and soft.
Every area of the estate inspires a different emotion:
This allows us to design a wedding that flows beautifully from one moment to the next.
Sofia and Alexander’s wedding is a testament to what is possible at Champlâtreux when weather, creativity, and teamwork align. It also illustrates how meaningful it can be to host a destination wedding in France.
